White Fir (Abies concolor) is a native evergreen conifer of the western United States, thriving in mountainous regions of the Sierra Nevada and the Rocky Mountains. It is commonly found at elevations ranging from 3,000' to 11,000'. Can grow spire-like to heights of 130 feet and trunk caliber of 35" diameter (dbh). When crushed, the needles have a pungent, frequently camphor-like odor.
