Jeffrey Pine is a large, evergreen tree native to the west from Klalmath mountains, Sierra Nevada and western Nevada, south to northern Baja California and into Mexico. Found in higher elevations 6,200 to 11,000 ft. With long, slender needles and large, distinctive cones, this pine is an important part of its native ecosystem. It is drought-tolerant once established and can grow in a variety of soil conditions, including nutrient-poor conditions. Mature height 80-120 ft, 24-32+ in diameter (dbh), deer resistant.
