Pinus mugo ‘Wintersonne’, (Wintersonne Mugo Pine)

Wintersonne Mugo Pine is an extremely hardy, compact mugo pine that becomes an electric yellow color in the cool temperatures of autum that persists through the cold season. Great for containers, the rock garden, or any landscape space that needs a little spark of color during the dreary winter months. ‘Wintersonne’ loves full sun, well-drained soil, and responds well to spring candle pruning if a more compact form is desired. This variety of Mugo Pine is drought-tolerant once established and has a dense, rounded form and is perfect for adding interest and texture to small gardens, rock gardens, or as a border plant.
