Pinus nigra ‘Frank’, (Frank Austrian Pine)

Frank Austrian Pine is a tight and narrow form of Austrian Black Bine. It features very dark, rich green needles on a narrow cone form. In spring, creamy white, vertical ""candles"" appear at the tips of every stem, candling (trimming) buds makes the form denser. An excellent specimen, grouping, or framing plant for an entryway, privacy screen, small garden space, home foundation, conifer and rock gardens. It is tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions and is drought-tolerant once established. Mature size 10-12 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide.
