Kotobuki Japanese Black Pine is a compact, narrowly upright conifer known for its dark green needles and dense, layered growth habit. This variety of Japanese Black Pine is perfect for bonsai, small gardens, or as a specimen plant in landscapes. Bright silver-white new ""candles"" that emerge in spring can easily maintained through employing candle pruning and aesthetic pruning techniques. Perfers fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates some light afternoon shade and some drought. Mature height 6-8 ft and 2-4 ft wide.
