Incense Cedar is a large evergreen typically reaching heights of 100–130 ft and a trunk diameter up to3 ft. Native to the mountains of California, Oregon, and Nevada. It thrives in well-drained, acidic soils and is commonly found at elevations between 2,000 and 7,000 feet. This species is known for its aromatic, durable wood and its distinctive reddish-brown bark that peels in strips. Prefers moist, well-drained, fertile soils, but shows adaptability to different soil types.
