Douglas Fir 'Blue' a stricking new cultivar, foliage emerges bright green-blue, with age settles into a stunning silvery blue. A spft needled, with sturdy but flexible branching that tolerates extreme cold, high winds and heavy snow. Perfers full sun and any well-drained acidic soil. Deer and drought tolerant makes a good wind break or visual screen. It thrives in well-drained, slightly acidic soils but can tolerate a variety of soil types. Provides habitat for birds, cones are food for birds and small mamals. Deer and drought tolerant. Maintains a pyramidal shape, matures height 70 ft.
